Gmail Icon Has Changed. The legendary red 'm' on a white envelope will no more be identified with gmail, something that the company might face criticism for. Coming to the new icons, gmail getting a new icon is a huge deal.
I don’t know the ‘why’ behind the change, but look at facebook. Log into your email and click the gear on the top, then settings.; It appears that the blue icon is being caused by one of the ‘labs’ settings located within gmail.

Junk mail is still coming in. Storage, filters, spam, forwarding, connectivity, domains, browsers, default view, headers/labels, etc. It is an awful feeling when it goes down. Facebook is free, it changes all the time and if people don’t like it leave there and go back to myspace, linked in or google+.
